Northwest Territories Integration Community Services (NWT-ICS) was founded in June 2021 as a volunteer group by five passionate members, and it was officially registered as a non-profit organization in 2023. Our mandate is to improve the livelihood and socio-economic well-being of individuals in NWT communities, focusing on critical issues such as homelessness, addictions, mental health, food insecurity, and poverty reduction.

Northwest Territories Integration Community Services was founded in June 2021 as a volunteer group by five passionate members who recognized the critical gaps in services for vulnerable communities, particularly those outside of Yellowknife.
Officially Registered 2023
We became an officially registered non-profit organization in 2023, strengthening our ability to serve communities across the Northwest Territories with dedicated focus and resources.
Experienced Leadership
Our founders are longtime residents of the Northwest Territories with many years of experience working with vulnerable populations in both leadership and frontline capacities.

At NWT-ICS, we are committed to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and families by providing services and programs aimed at addressing homelessness, addiction, mental health challenges, and other socio-economic hardships. Our work is driven by compassion and a belief in the importance of community and collaboration.

Through community partnerships, outreach programs, and direct support, we are dedicated to helping individuals regain stability and independence while fostering a more connected and resilient community.

Braj Tripathi
Braj Tripathi serves as a Board Member at ICS - NWT. He brings extensive experience in strategic planning and community development. Braj is passionate about making a positive impact on marginalized communities and contributes to shaping the direction of the organization.

Margaret McKeon
Margaret McKeon is a Board Member at ICS - NWT. With her expertise in family crisis support and advocacy, Margaret is deeply committed to improving the social and economic conditions of individuals facing hardship in the Northwest Territories.

Ambe Chenemu
Ambe Chenemu is a Board Member at ICS - NWT. His background in human rights and international development has provided valuable insight into addressing systemic issues facing marginalized communities in the region.

Abednego Shu
Abednego Shu serves as a Board Member at ICS - NWT. He has a strong background in community outreach and environmental sustainability, which informs his work in advocating for policies and programs that benefit vulnerable communities in the Northwest Territories.
Executive Director

Eric Neba
Eric Neba is a seasoned nonprofit leader with 15+ years of experience advancing mental health, housing, homelessness, poverty reduction, and community development in Canada and internationally. He has worked with organizations such as the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), Samaritan's Purse Canada, Calgary Family Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary, the GNWT, The Salvation Army–Yellowknife, and the NWT Disabilities Council, among others. Eric brings frontline expertise from hospitals and shelters across the Northwest Territories, alongside experience managing multimillion-dollar humanitarian projects in South Sudan and refugee support in Kenya. His leadership is defined by strategic vision, strong stakeholder partnerships, and results-oriented program design. A dedicated advocate for racial justice and Indigenous inclusion, he also serves on several nonprofit boards. Eric is known for leading with empathy, accountability, and a commitment to sustainable impact in Northern communities.
